Manager Trainee - Operations (Travel Program - Relocation Required)

As a Manager Trainee, you will participate in a comprehensive training program designed to enhance your leadership skills and prepare you for rapid career advancement.

Program Highlights:
  1. Career Growth & Development: The program lasts approximately 12 months, followed by an additional six months to progress to an Assistant Manager role. You will receive tailored training, mentorship, and one-on-one support.
  2. Learn Operations Management: Gain insights into the business and industry, contributing to areas such as finance, marketing, administration, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, personnel management, and facilities management.
  3. Contribute to Life-Changing Medicines: Maintain high standards of quality and service to develop vital medicines. Learn to meet production and cost objectives while ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to BioLife SOPs.
  4. Travel Opportunities: Participate in our travel program to visit BioLife locations nationwide, expanding your network and learning from diverse teams.
  5. Supportive Team Environment: Foster an inclusive, collaborative workspace with diverse colleagues, communicating effectively across organizational levels.
  6. Customer Service Excellence: Enhance donor experiences and satisfaction, assisting with production as needed.
  7. Relocation: Post-promotion to management, relocation to a designated BioLife location will be required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent leadership experience (approximately 3 years)
  • Experience supervising teams, including coaching, development, and performance management
  • Travel requirements vary by program path:
    • Up to 100% (100% Travel Path)
    • Up to 75-85% (Appleton, WI Based & Field Paths)
    • Less than 10% (No Travel Path)

During the program, candidates must reside in the continental US and be near a BioLife location or willing to travel extensively. Additional physical requirements include the ability to stand/walk for entire shifts, work evenings/weekends/holidays, possess a valid driver’s license, perform physical movements, lift weights, and tolerate glove wear due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SOPs, GDP, GMP, CLIA, FDA regulations
  • Experience in highly regulated environments

Compensation & Benefits:

Base salary range: $52,800 - $72,600. Actual salary depends on experience, skills, education, location, and other factors. Additional incentives and benefits include health plans, 401(k), paid time off, and more, depending on employment location and status.
