Job summary

Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to join our West Chester rental location. In this hands-on role, you’ll learn how to run a successful rental location while delivering a great customer experience and supporting daily branch operations.

A structured training program aims to promote you to Branch Manager in 12–18 months. You’ll work at 1528 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA 19380, with a base wage of $18.50/hour plus incentives, and benefits including PTO, health plans, and 401(k)

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn the business and grow into leadership.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Professional appearance and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships and applying sales techniques.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by guiding customers through the rental process and resolving questions or concerns.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.
• Build the skills needed to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.
