Job summary

Hertz Local Edition is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn and manage a busy rental branch while delivering exceptional customer service and supporting daily operations.

You will participate in hands-on training across sales, service, fleet management, and administration, with a clear path to promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months. A strong customer focus and motivation to lead are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Customer service, sales or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships and identifying needs.
• Deliver a positive customer experience throughout the rental process.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle prep and documentation.
• Partner with leadership to understand scheduling, coaching and business metrics.
• Develop skills to grow into future leadership opportunities.
