Description

Budget is looking to add a Manager Trainee for its operations in Kansas City to its Kansas City team. Budget Manager Trainees are in short-term development to either manage a stand-alone store or rentals and operations at the airport as part of our airport management team. This position involves all aspects of the rental process, including direct sales/customer service, vehicle inspections and check-in, inventory management, client follow-up and relations, vehicle detailing, and oversight of facilities. Budget managers are scheduled to work 5 days a week. If interested, please apply.

What You Will Bring

Excellent customer service experience, sales experience, leadership experience (preferably professional), a willingness to learn and grow, at least 18 years old, a clean driving record in the last 3 years (with some exceptions), ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Job Duties

  • Assist Managers with the overall operation of rental agencies.
  • Oversee and ensure proper functioning of operational departments.
  • Help monitor fleet and product flow to match customer needs and reservation schedules.
  • Operate the computer counter agent control system (open/close rental contracts, modify contracts, print/update manifests, etc.).
  • Assist management in maintaining daily inventory, both physical and computerized.
  • Promote and sell coverage and upgrades (additional insurance, GPS, rental car upgrades, etc.).
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, safeguard security measures.
  • Handle office duties: answering phones, ordering supplies, photocopying, routine inquiries, etc.
  • Prepare reports and document daily activities.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding charges, vehicle damages, directions, etc.
  • Support a team environment by assisting other agents, locations, and areas when needed.
  • Be involved in coaching and educating team members.
  • Assist with training, supervise, and motivate team members.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 18 years old.
  • A clean driving record in the last 3 years (with some exceptions).
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
