The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to management may occur within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance.
An MIT is a member of the management team, expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the MIT will:
MITs will complete operations and management training, learning key aspects of the business and AutoZone culture. Performance and progression are necessary to remain in the program and be considered for management roles.
Note: Promotion to Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and management openings.
