Manager Trainee Job Description

Reports to: Operations Supervisor

Location: Salem, VA

A family-owned, 126-year-old, growing retail furniture operation has an immediate opening for a motivated Management Trainee in Salem, VA. Gain valuable hands-on experience in all areas of operations as you advance along an exciting career path.

We are looking for hard-working, career-minded individuals who are serious about making an excellent income. This is an aggressive Management Training Program with significant income potential. The applicant is eligible for up to $5,000 in bonuses upon completion of the program.

Responsibilities Include:

• Handling customer complaints and service matters with consultation and approval from the store manager
• Operational leadership of the store in the absence of the store manager
• Maintaining proper floor display in all areas of the store
• Maintaining proper price tagging of all merchandise
• Monitoring the business builder program
• Assisting in making sales
• Maintaining good communication with customers
• Placing orders for all repair/replacement parts from vendors
• Assisting the store manager whenever needed

Position includes great benefits including medical, dental, paid time off, and merchandise discounts. Must be willing to travel up to an hour or further, as needed.
