Summary

We have an opening for a Metal Mart Manager Trainee at our Monroe, Louisiana Metal Mart Facility. The Manager Trainee position performs duties, under general direction of experienced personnel, to gain knowledge and experience required for possible advancement into management positions. This position reports to the Store Manager.

Hours

Metal Mart Manager Trainee Qualifications:

• Strong basic math skills.
• Experience and ability to supervise office and production employees.
• Sales/customer service experience in metal components and/or roofing products.
• Ability to travel and work independently.
• Experience working with administrative functions such as: inventory control, invoicing records, computer transactions, cash deposits, and material estimates.
• Ability to handle materials and material handling equipment.

Metal Mart Manager Trainee Responsibilities:

• Assists with coordinating work load with employee staffing on an on-going basis in order to efficiently utilize the workforce.
• Travel to other Service Center locations possibly for weeks at a time.
• Solicits current and potential customers to increase Service Center’s sales.
• Assists customers in selection of products and writes orders for additional items needed. Arranges for delivery to customer.
• Enters orders into computer.
• Invoices orders after shipment.
• Keeps inventory control records current and places orders to replenish stock.
• Completes daily sales summary and deposits cash receipts in bank.
• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Assists in creating and estimating material lists for customers.
