The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role providing work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to a management position may occur within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance.
An MIT is a management team member expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the Store Manager's supervision, the MIT maintains an engaged, productive team through leadership, initiative, and leading by example. Responsibilities include:
MITs must complete operations and management training, learn about key business aspects, and demonstrate consistent progress to remain in the program and be considered for management openings. Promotion to Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and management opportunities.
