Job summary

Hertz Local Edition is seeking a Manager Trainee to drive location performance while developing leadership skills. You will rotate through sales, operations, vehicle care, and finance tasks and prepare for a Branch Manager promotion within 12-18 months.

The starting wage is $38,480 per year or $18.50 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and training. You will gain hands-on experience in fleet management, customer service, and business metrics in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

We’re hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12-18 months. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn all aspects of our business.

The starting wage for this position is $38,480.00 per year or $18.50 per hour

What You’ll Do:

• Sales & Customer Service

  • Support achievement of location sales goals

  • Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores

  • Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices

• Operations & Fleet Management

  • Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control

  • Assist with store operations and compliance

• Vehicle and Facility Care

  • Support team with miscellaneous task including but not limited to cleaning and preparing vehicles for customers, lot management, and customer service assistance

• Finance & Administration

  • Learn finance processes and support deal completion

  • Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics

• Leadership Development

  • Shadow and support management in daily operations

  • Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching

  • Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training

  • Learn how role contributes to/impacts the overall financial wellbeing of the company

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be 20 years of age or older

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Valid driver’s license

• Strong computer and multitasking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow

• Exceptional time management skills

• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
