The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training opportunities to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Entry into the program may lead to management promotion within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance.
An MIT is a management team member expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the MIT will lead by example to maintain an engaged, productive team. Responsibilities include:
MITs are responsible for completing operations and management training, learning about key business aspects and AutoZone culture. Satisfactory performance and demonstrated progression are required to remain in the program and be considered for management openings.
Note: Promotion to Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and management openings.
