Hertz Local Edition in Mentor, OH is seeking a Manager Trainee to join our rental branch team. This hands-on role teaches you how to run a successful location while delivering a great customer experience and supporting daily operations.

You’ll receive structured training and real-world experience with the potential to promote to Branch Manager in 12–18 months, building leadership, sales, and service skills in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships and applying effective sales techniques.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by guiding customers through the rental process and resolving questions professionally.
• Assist with daily branch operations including fleet inventory, vehicle prep, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, and performance coaching.
• Build the skills needed to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated, customer‑focused, and interested in growing into a leadership role. With structured training and real‑world experience, you’ll prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months.

Wage: $16.00 per hour + incentives, varies based on job performance

What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 20 years old
• Valid driver’s license required
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or other professional experience preferred
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time management skills
• A self‑motivated, adaptable approach with an interest in learning the business and growing into leadership
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment
