This position is a short-term transitional role designed to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions, typically within 8-12 weeks depending on experience and performance.

Responsibilities

An MIT is a management team member expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the Store Manager's supervision, the MIT will:

• Support overall store management and policy implementation
• Manage financials, including analyzing and reconciling monthly P&L statements
• Handle employee staffing, training, and development
• Oversee inventory management
• Lead customer service efforts

MITs will complete operations and management training, learning about key aspects of the business and AutoZone culture. Progression depends on performance and training completion.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience
• Flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required
• Automotive experience and financial analysis skills are a plus but not necessary
