The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training opportunities to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Entry into the program may lead to a management position within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance.
As a member of the management team, an MIT is expected to live the pledge, deliver WOW! customer service, and drive store performance. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the MIT will lead by example, maintain an engaged team, and support store operations including:
MITs will complete operations and management skills training, learning about key business aspects and AutoZone culture. Performance and progression through training are essential for continued consideration for management openings.
Note: Promotion to a Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and management openings.
