The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Promotion may occur within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Support overall store management, including policy implementation and store operations.
• Manage financial aspects such as analyzing and reconciling monthly P&L statements.
• Oversee employee staffing, training, and development.
• Manage inventory and lead customer service efforts.

MITs are responsible for completing training in operations and management skills, learning about AutoZone culture, and demonstrating performance and progression in the program. Promotion to management depends on performance and available openings.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience.
• Ability to work flexible full-time hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
• Previous automotive experience and financial analysis skills are preferred but not required.
