The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to management can occur within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.

Responsibilities

An MIT is a member of the management team, expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the MIT will lead a store team through strong leadership and initiative.

The MIT supports the Store Manager in the overall operation, including:

• Store management, supervision, and policy implementation
• Financial management, including managing and analyzing monthly P&L statements
• Employee staffing, training, and development
• Inventory management
• Customer service leadership

MITs must complete operations and management training, and demonstrate progress to remain in the program. Promotion to management depends on performance and available openings.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience
• Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime
• Bilingual skills preferred, not required
• Automotive experience preferred, not required
• Experience analyzing financials, including P&L statements, preferred, not required
