The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role offering work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management. Progression to management may occur within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.
As a management team member, an MIT is expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the Store Manager's supervision, the MIT will lead by example to maintain an engaged, productive team and support store operations, including:
MITs will complete operations and management training, learning about key aspects of the business and AutoZone culture. Performance must be satisfactory, with demonstrated progression through the training program to remain in the pipeline and be considered for management roles.
Note: Promotion to Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and available openings.
