The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Promotion may occur within approximately 8-12 weeks based on experience and performance.

Responsibilities
As a management team member, an MIT is expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the Store Manager's supervision, the MIT will lead and engage the store team, demonstrating initiative and leadership.

The MIT supports the Store Manager in:

• Store management, supervision, and policy implementation
• Financial management, including managing and analyzing P&L statements
• Employee staffing, training, and development
• Inventory management
• Customer service leadership

MITs are responsible for completing training modules and learning about AutoZone's culture. Performance and progression through training are essential for consideration for management roles.

Note: Promotion to a Store Manager or Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and available openings.

Requirements
- 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience
- Ability to work flexible full-time hours, including weekends and overtime
- Bilingual preferred, not required
- Automotive experience and financial analysis experience are preferred but not mandatory
