Primary Purpose: Work with a manager to develop a thorough knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of a manager in various schools. Demonstrate this knowledge by assuming the responsibilities of the manager in her absence.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Literate in basic language writing, reading, and arithmetic.
• Level I TASN certification for internal candidates; Levels II, III, and IV preferred.
• Ability to pass ServSafe Manager exam and maintain certification.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Quantity food preparation with strong math skills.
• Excellent attendance.
• Safety and sanitation.
• Basic food technology.
• Ability to plan and organize effective communication with co-workers and customers.

Experience:

• Working knowledge of school food service.

Salary: Starting at $18.15 per hour. Salary grade: Aux PG5/187 days.
