Job summary

OCLC is seeking a Manager of Test Engineering in a hybrid environment to lead Quality Engineers across products, driving QA modernization with AI-enabled testing and automation. You will oversee test strategy, metrics, tooling adoption, and release readiness to raise quality and delivery confidence.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, and SRE to embed quality throughout the SDLC, champion testability, and evolve governance across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Library Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading QA teams in complex software delivery environments.
  • Strong knowledge of manual, exploratory, UI, API, database, and performance testing.
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Python, Java.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, and quality reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Quality Engineers across multiple products and initiatives.
  • Define and execute balanced testing strategies including exploratory, manual, accessibility, functional, integration, and performance testing.
  • Define, monitor, and communicate quality and delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Own strategy for test environments and test data management, including synthetic data generation.
  • Assess release readiness and provide recommendations aligned with security and privacy requirements.
