Job summary

Smart City Telecom, based in Orlando, FL, seeks a seasoned B2B telecom sales leader to coach a field-based Account Executive team across Central Florida. You will direct SMB and complex Enterprise deals, manage a CRM pipeline, and drive regional revenue growth while fostering executive relationships with enterprise clients and government entities.

The role requires deep knowledge of DIA, Hosted Voice/UCaaS, Metro Ethernet, and SD-WAN, plus strong CRM and market-analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of successful B2B telecom sales experience, including 2–3 years in a sales management or team lead role.
• Experience selling into hospitality, healthcare, public sector, professional services, or construction verticals.
• Existing relationships with Central Florida economic development organizations or local government agencies.
• Strong technical fluency in DIA, Hosted Voice/UCaaS, Metro Ethernet topologies, and SD-WAN deployments.
• Proven experience navigating the Central Florida business ecosystem with CRM pipeline oversight.
• Advanced, hands‑on CRM usage for pipeline and metrics tracking.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily within Central Florida (Orlando, Space Coast, and surrounding areas) up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and coach a field-based team of B2B telecom Account Executives across Central Florida.
• Direct strategy for SMB and complex Enterprise deals involving DIA, Metro Ethernet, and SD-WAN.
• Manage the sales pipeline within the CRM from lead generation through contract signing.
• Set and enforce monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue quotas for individual reps and the region.
• Cultivate executive-level relationships with enterprise clients, local government entities, and business groups.
• Provide accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasts and market analysis to leadership.
• Collaborate with network engineering, product management, and provisioning teams to ensure service delivery.
• Champion Smart City's business principles and service standards in every customer interaction.

What the Role Involves

What We're Looking For

• Existing relationships with Central Florida economic development organizations or local government agencies
• Strong technical fluency in Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), Hosted Voice/UCaaS, Metro Ethernet topologies, and SD-WAN deployments
• Proven experience navigating the Central Florida business ecosystem, with a strong understanding of the regional competitive telecom landscape
• Advanced, hands-on experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot) for pipeline and metrics tracking
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both customers and internal partners
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with the ability to travel daily within Central Florida (Orlando, Space Coast, and surrounding areas) up to 50% of the time for client meetings and ride-alongs
