Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Manager, Airport Agent Product to modernize frontline technology and deliver intuitive, scalable experiences for our airport teams. You will define strategy, lead a product group, and collaborate across Operations and Technology to enhance frontline applications.

You will mentor Product Owners, drive data-informed decisions, and work with stakeholders to achieve the portfolio's vision. Travel may be required; in-office attendance is expected based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of product management/delivery experience.
• Experience in a product model that promotes better customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and coach Product Owners (direct reports).
• Influence stakeholders on product strategy aligned to the product group.
• Use data and analytics to define baselines, measure outcomes, and prioritize backlog items.
• Define product objectives and key results aligned to strategy.
• Present roadmaps, OKRs and planned releases to leaders and peers.
• Collaborate with UX, Technology, Vendors, Risk and Security to deliver solutions.

• As the Manager, Airport Agent Product, you’ll lead the modernization of the technology our frontline airport team members rely on every day, creating intuitive, reliable, and scalable experiences that better enable them to serve our customers.
• You’ll lead the product team responsible for ACE, QIKCHK, Cabin Clean, and Agent Assist, working across Airport Operations and Technology to define product strategy and deliver capabilities that simplify the frontline experience.
• This role is a member of the Gates, Biometrics, Digital Signage and Clubs team.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor and coach Product Owners (direct reports) enabling further growth and success
• Influences stakeholders on the Product Strategy aligned to the Product Group (our portfolio)
• Utilizes technical knowledge such as A/B testing, product architecture, continuous deployment process, DevOps practices, data models and analytics, querying languages, tools supporting automation/metrics and other technologies in support of the products/services owned
• Uses data to define baselines, measures outcomes, share insights, order backlog items
• Understands and supports resolutions to customer problems, needs, challenges, and opportunities for the product
• Determines product objectives and key results that align to Product Strategy
• Presents the thought process on product strategy, roadmap items, OKRs and planned releases to leaders and peers
• Communicates regularly on OKRs, desired metrics, and areas requiring leadership’s attention
• Influences and collaborates with stakeholders, peers, and other product leaders to deliver solutions that achieve the portfolio’s vision and goals
• Collaborates with various internal team members such as UX, Technology, Vendors, Risk, Compliance, Security, etc.
• Practices agility in discovering and delivering value continuously
• Travel is required and may include domestic and international airport locations, vendor sites, and the American Airlines Technology Center in Hyderabad (HYD), India.
• This role does not follow a fixed hybrid work schedule; in-office attendance is expected based on business needs, collaboration requirements, and operational priorities.
• Work location expectations may evolve over time to meet the needs of the role, team, and organization.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years of applicable experience or 7 years of equivalent Product Management/Delivery work experience
• Experience working in a product model that promotes better customer experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Master's degree in related field with 5+ years of experience in Product Delivery
• Experience determining Product Market fit and defining a Go-to-Market strategy
• Demonstrated familiarity with Agile Product Management tools

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Relevant certifications in Product Management/Product Delivery field
• Strong knowledge/expertise of product domain including the business model, constraints, regulations, user experiences, etc.
