Job summary

Magnite, the world’s largest independent sell-side advertising platform, seeks a Manager, Technical Operations, DV+. The role operates at the intersection of Account Management, Product, and Engineering to drive technical resolution and scalable processes across the DV+ platform.

You will analyze data, apply AI tools, and mentor teammates while coordinating across multiple offices. The position emphasizes cross-functional leadership, complex issue resolution, and a strong programmatic ecosystem

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in technical operations or related role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills for data analysis and automation.
  • Interest in emerging AI technologies and their application.
  • Excellent written communication and troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

Our tech fuels billions of transactions per day!**About this team:**The Manager, Technical Operations, DV+ is a critical operational leadership role focused on the DV+ platform, where publishers monetize omnichannel inventory — spanning display, video, native, audio, and DOOH — through sophisticated, AI-enhanced programmatic solutions. This role serves as a key cross-functional partner and primary internal escalation point, operating at the intersection of Account Management, Product, and Engineering to drive technical resolution and support our platform's evolving capabilities. A core component involves leveraging modern AI tools and advanced analytics to identify repeatable challenges, design scalable solutions, and drive operational efficiency across large datasets. Leading cross-functional initiatives and high-profile projects is core to this role, though it does not carry direct reports.****In this role you will:***** Own and drive resolution of the most complex technical escalations, serving as the final internal escalation point before Product/Engineering leadership* Query and analyze large datasets across multiple systems using SQL to identify trends, diagnose issues, and support operational decision-making* Leverage modern AI tools and emerging technologies to identify repeatable challenges, design scalable solutions, automate workflows, and improve operational efficiency* Troubleshoot complex technical issues spanning multiple platforms, systems, reporting pipelines, APIs, and integrations* Partner directly with Product, Engineering, and Account Management leadership to shape initiatives and represent Technical Operations in cross-functional planning* Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Technical Operations team members, without formal management responsibility****We’re looking for someone with:***** 6+ years in technical operations or a related role* Bachelor's degree or equivalent (advanced degree a plus)* Strong technical knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem* Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel for data analysis, troubleshooting, and workflow automation* Genuine interest in emerging AI technologies, with the ability to apply them to operational workflows and problem-solving* Excellent technical writing and documentation skills* Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with experience diagnosing complex issues* Strong cross-functional collaboration and coordination skills* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly, identify root causes, and drive issues to resolution* Able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment* Analytical mindset with the ability to balance immediate needs with long-term scalable solutions**In New York, the base salary range for this role is $125,000 – $135,000. In Massachusetts, the base salary range for this role is $115,000 – $125,000.
