Job summary

Waste Management in Arlington, OR is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Leader to provide guidance and oversight ensuring adherence to permits and regulatory standards. You will coordinate resources, engage with agencies, and drive systems that monitor compliance and minimize risk.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 7 years of prior work experience (in addition to education requirement).

  • Provides technical assistance to operations in order to improve existing or develop new treatment methods.
  • Maintains a technical communication network amongst various coordinators, and participates in community out-reach efforts.
  • Oversees personnel needs including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance.
  • Submits reasonable budget information and analyzes data versus year-to-date data and prior year budget.

Job description

I. Job Summary


Provides technical guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and facility permits.


II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Provides regulatory and technical guidance to sales, approvals, customer service, and operations personnel.

  • Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.

  • Works with regulatory agencies to obtain reasonable permit conditions and other requirements.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains systems to support and monitor compliance and minimize risk.

  • Reviews and signs environmental and other reports and project submittals.

  • Reviews all waste approvals and provides second signature authorization.

  • Provides technical assistance to operations in order to improve existing or develop new treatment methods. Develops and maintains written documents and/or plans.

  • Maintains a technical communication network amongst various coordinators, and participates in community out-reach efforts.

  • Oversees personnel needs including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.

  • Submits reasonable budget information and analyzes data versus year-to-date data and prior year budget.

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.

  • 7 years of prior work experience (in addition to education requirement).

Office: This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.


Pay: The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $95,700 - $121,990 per year. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
