Job description

Description

TMRW Sports is seeking an experienced Content Manager to execute the day-to-day publishing and optimization of content across the team website platforms for TGL and WTGL. This contract role will focus on team websites and related team-owned digital experiences, ensuring each club has timely, accurate, engaging, and brand-aligned content throughout the TGL and WTGL seasons.

The Manager, Team Services Content - Golf will serve as the key website content partner for our clubs that participate in Team Services. Working closely with the League’s Team Marketing and Business Operations department, Digital Golf, team stakeholders, and shared creative and operational partners, this person will translate league and team priorities into coordinated content plans that grow team fandom and strengthen the fan experience before, during, and after match nights.

Contract details:
  • This is a contract position for the period of November 1, 2026, through May 1, 2027.
  • The anticipated workload is up to 40 hours per week, with weekly hours based on team needs. There is potential for more than 40 hours per week during specific weeks of the season.
  • The hourly rate range is $50-$75 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • This engagement will require flexibility around the TGL and WTGL competition schedules, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:
  • Own the day-to-day digital content management operation for TGL and WTGL teams, with a primary focus on team websites.
  • Work with each club to receive, ideate and optimize their team content plans, and manage an integrated match-week content calendar across clubs, balancing shared league moments with distinctive team stories and market priorities.
  • Publish, update, and quality-control team site content, including homepage programming, articles, video, galleries, player and roster information, schedules, results, promotional modules, and evergreen team pages.
  • Support real-time team website coverage before, during, and after match nights, including timely updates, preview article placement, highlights, results, and post-match content.
  • Partner with Team Marketing and Business Operations (League dept.), Digital Golf, and each club’s stakeholders to gather priorities, copy, assets, identify storytelling opportunities, and maintain clear deadlines and approvals.
  • Maintain effective and prompt communication with each participating club via league-created Slack channels, including the creation and distribution of a post-match recap summary of published content following each match.
  • Track all projects, tasks, and hours in Robohead project management tool to ensure seamless end-of-season reporting and billing for clubs and league.
  • As necessary, adapt league-generated content and creative assets for team audiences while maintaining league, club, sponsor, and editorial guidelines.
  • Write, edit, and package fan-first copy for team websites, including headlines, summaries, calls to action, and promotional messaging.
  • Maintain strong publishing workflows, asset organization, naming conventions, quality assurance, and documentation that can scale across all clubs.
  • Use digital performance data and audience insights to recommend improvements to content placement, formats, timing, and fan journeys across team platforms.
  • Support additional team digital content needs and special projects as assigned during the contract term.
Requirements
  • Three or more years of experience in digital content management, publishing, editorial operations, or a related role for a sports team, league, brand, agency, or sports media organization.
  • Professional experience managing content within a content management system and programming web experiences for live events or time-sensitive coverage.
  • Proven ability to build and execute editorial calendars across multiple brands, teams, or stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent editorial judgment, writing, copyediting, and headline-writing skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage simultaneous deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to gather needs, set expectations, and work effectively across internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong knowledge of professional golf and the ability to identify compelling team, player, competition, and fan storylines.
  • Availability during and ahead of competition hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the TGL and WTGL schedules.
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the contract term, with the potential for additional hours as needed.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, digital media, marketing, sports management, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting professional sports teams, local markets, or franchise stakeholders within a league structure.
  • Experience with content management tools (AEM a plus), video publishing tools, digital asset management systems, and digital analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics or comparable.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, accessibility, web publishing best practices, and audience growth strategies.
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly.
You'll be successful if:
  • All team digital platforms are current, accurate, brand-aligned, and programmed around the moments that matter most to fans.
  • Team stakeholders have a clear, reliable content planning and publishing process with strong communication, ownership, and follow-through.
  • You balance consistency across the league ecosystem with the distinct voice, market, players, and priorities of each club.
  • You thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and bring sound judgment, urgency, flexibility, and a fan-first mindset to the work.
