Local CPA Firm in central Ohio seeks a Manager, Tax with depth in capital intensive small business to join a team that values work-life balance and client service.

As a Sr. Tax Accountant leader, you will mentor staff, work closely with not-for-profits and individuals, and prepare strategic plans for 2026 filings. The role offers potential partner opportunities and a supportive, team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• A passion for Tax Accounting and at least 8 years of relevant experience in public accounting.
• A degree in Accounting and active CPA status.
• Experience as a Sr. Tax Accountant, supporting small businesses and high wealth individuals.
• Experience managing associates; coaching/mentoring; doing reviews.
• Strong understanding of tax accounting for C-corps, S-corps, partnerships, LLCs, etc.
• Familiarity with real estate/construction sector is a plus; knowledge of partnerships and tax implications.
• Client-facing role; strong interpersonal and client relationship skills; experience with CFOs/Controllers.

MANAGER, TAX - Public Accounting

The 2025 tax season is winding down, and you are finishing extensions and doing some tax planning with clients for 2026 filings. You’re researching the impact of tax law changes, and spending some time getting your CPE credits in.

WHAT IT TAKES:

You probably already know what this type of role requires:

• A passion for Tax Accounting and at least 8 years of relevant experience in public accounting.
• A degree in Accounting and active CPA status.
• Experience as a Sr. Tax Accountant, specifically in working with and supporting small businesses and high wealth individuals.
• Experience managing associates. Coaching / mentoring. Doing reviews.
• Strong understanding and experience in tax accounting for C-corps, S-corps, partnerships, LLC's, etc.
• Familiarity with real estate / construction sector is a huge plus. A good understanding and experience with various forms of partnerships and tax implications.
• You’ll be in a client facing role much of the time, so strong interpersonal and client relationship skills are key to success. Experience working with CFO’s, Controllers, and other financial executives.
• Adept at common software like UltraTax, Quickbooks, RIA, and Excel.
