Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace, a global aerospace components manufacturer, is seeking a Tax Manager in Manchester, CT onsite/hybrid. You will lead corporate tax accounting, compliance, and reporting for a large international organization, ensuring adherence to U.S.

and international tax requirements while optimizing tax planning initiatives. The role requires 5+ years of escalating tax experience, supervisory capability, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive corporate tax experience with ASC 740, U.S. federal/state tax, and international tax compliance.
• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time without sponsorship.
• Ability to work under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740.
• Oversee federal, state, and local income tax compliance for multi-entity structure.
• Coordinate international tax reporting including GILTI/FDII and foreign tax credits.
• Prepare and review tax-related disclosures and memorandums.
• Support tax planning for aerospace programs and R&D incentives.
• Manage tax audits and inquiries from authorities.
• Maintain internal controls over tax processes per SOX.

About the Opportunity:

The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the Company's corporate tax function, including tax accounting, compliance, and reporting activities for a large, global aerospace organization. This role ensures adherence to U.S. federal, state, and international tax requirements and supports accurate and timely taxrelated disclosures for external financial reporting.

Location: Manchester, CT onsite/hybrid

Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including analysis of effective tax rates, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and related financial statement disclosures.
• Oversee federal, state, and local income tax compliance for a multientity, multistate corporate structure.
• Coordinate international tax reporting requirements, including GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, and controlled foreign corporation reporting.
• Prepare and review taxrelated disclosures and memorandums.
• Support tax planning initiatives related to aerospace programs, longterm contracts, R&D incentives, and global operational activities.
• Manage tax audits and inquiries from federal, state, and foreign tax authorities.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls over tax processes in compliance with SOX requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, working with ASC 740, U.S. federal and state tax regulations, and international tax compliance requirements.
• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred (CPA or MST).
• Experience working for a Big 4 Firm is preferred.
• Experience in SOX compliance, regulatory environments, and enterprise risk management.
• Proficiency with income tax software and ERP systems.
• Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or other complex, regulated industries.
• Strong analytical, problemsolving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Aerospace and/or manufacturing experience
• Ability to work as part of a team and lead others.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
• Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
• Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
