Job summary

North American Properties in Cincinnati seeks a Manager, Tax to coordinate the tax compliance function for 200+ entities. You will ensure timely and accurate returns, maintain organized workpapers, and report tax projections to investors with strong customer service.

The role partners with Accounting and Family Office on estate/gift and income tax planning, handling complex 704(c) allocations and multi-state filings, while leading training and special projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • CPA designation preferred for this role.
  • 4–6 years of tax experience in a corporate or public environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the tax compliance function utilizing internal and third-party resources.
  • Review annual accounting of LLCs as part of tax preparation process.
  • Review tax returns (Partnerships, Trusts and Individual returns).
  • Prepare complex tax returns involving 704(c) allocations and multi-state filings.
  • Prepare tax component of hold/sale analysis for real estate projects.
  • Prepare taxable income projections/estimates.
  • Supervise Tax Accountant.
  • Coordinate and lead annual Tax training effort to Accounting team.
  • Work with Family Office for estate/gift and income tax planning.
  • Manage and lead special projects as assigned.

Description

North American is seeking a Manager, Tax position located in our Cincinnati office. The Manager is responsible for coordinating the tax compliance function for 200+ entities. Successful outcomes of this position include all returns accurately and timely filed, well-organized and efficient supporting workpapers, accurate and timely reporting of tax projections to investors, and a reputation for excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the compliance function utilizing internal and third-party resources
  • Review annual accounting of various LLCs as part of tax preparation process
  • Review various tax returns (Partnerships, Trusts and Individual returns)
  • Prepare complex tax returns involving 704(c) allocations and multi-state filings
  • Prepare tax component of hold/sale analysis for real estate projects

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
