The Payload and Ground Systems organization within Northrop Grumman Space Systems develops advanced sensor systems and provides technological advantages to the warfighter. Located in Linthicum, MD, we seek a frontline manager for our Remote Sensing Programs (RSP) Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team.

This dual-role position involves managing a team of ~10 SEIT engineers and contributing technically to space programs as a lead or individual contributor. Responsibilities include organizational management and technical leadership in space payload or ground systems.

  • Engineering process and departmental strategy development
Basic Qualifications
  • BS in STEM + 8 years or MS + 6 years of relevant experience
  • Active U.S. DoD Top Secret security clearance, current and within scope, with SCI eligibility
  • 2+ years leading an engineering team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of the Systems Engineering process
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced engineering degree
  • Experience leading technical or programmatic teams
  • Experience with sensor systems like RADAR, EO/IR, Passive RF payloads
  • Experience with space payloads or vehicles

Salary Range: $149,400 - $224,000. Compensation factors include experience, skills, and market conditions. Benefits include health insurance, life/disability insurance, savings plans, paid holidays, and PTO.
