Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager Systems Engineering 2. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) Ground Base Strategic Deterrent program.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Lead a team of Systems Engineers responsible for supplier oversight of requirements, architecture, design, and verification of components in the Re-Entry System Electronics.
Coordinate with the broader Payload Reentry System teams including: PLT SEIT, PRS Test Set, PRS Simulator, Delta Flight Test Vehicle, Beholder, and Countermeasures.
Support department initiatives; technology road-map creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and NCTA project leadership.
Support employee development; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring, and career development.
Support staffing and workload forecast; Recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, and performance management.
Support requirements analysis, requirements generation and verification, and test plan and procedure development.
Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for electrical and integrated systems.
Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications.
Support all phases of the systems life cycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements.
Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the systems engineering function.
Interface with AF customer and external stakeholders such as Sandia National Labs and Lawrence Livermore National Labs.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field and 6 years of related experience; Master's degree in STEM related field and 4 years of related experience.
At least 1 year of experience leading a large-scale project and driving performance against cost and schedule.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application.
At least 3 years of electronics design and manufacturing experience.
At least 3 years of experience supporting a large-scale, complex department of defense contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
Electrical Engineering background and degree.
ASIC design and manufacturing experience.
5 years of ICBM experience.
Functional and/or Assignment manager experience.
Program Management Experience.
Supplier management experience.
At least 1 year of earned value management experience.
Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability in prioritizing multiple tasks.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations.
Salary Range: $135,100 - $202,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
