Ryder System, Inc. in Aberdeen, MD is hiring a Warehouse Team Leader. You will lead daily warehouse operations, oversee picking, packing, shipping, and forklift tasks, and drive continuous improvements to safety and efficiency.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and 1+ year warehouse and forklift experience; RF scanner proficiency is required. Compensation includes weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year as Team Lead preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner experience required or advanced preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license required.
• Strong communication skills in verbal and written form.
• Ability to lead and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead and drive continuous improvement for warehouse efficiency.
• Perform warehouse tasks: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift, cycle counts.
• Allocate daily work duties to team to optimize shift operations.
• Inspire team toward KPI improvements using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and tools needed for employees to perform jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices in the warehouse.
• Handle daily warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, BOLs).
• Complete and submit daily reports; propose action plans to improve operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Description

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $20.00 per hour

• Additional Pay: $1.50 per hour

• Overtime Pay $32.25 per hour

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:00 pm - 12:30 am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred

• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred

• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred

• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred

• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required

• Valid forklift operator's license certified

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.

• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.

• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.

• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.

• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.

• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).

• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
