Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) seeks a Manager, Supply Chain Program 2 for the Marine Systems team. The role is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA and focuses on managing the Virginia propulsion program within NGMS.

You will drive material strategy, coordinate with PMO, and ensure baseline plans are complete and aligned with procurement strategies. Responsibilities include leading program execution, resource planning, cost forecasting, risk management, supplier performance, and EVMS alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of supply chain, contracts, or program management experience.
  • Experience leading a team or project.
  • US citizen and ability to obtain US Government Secret clearance.
  • Experience with procurement workflows.
  • Experience interfacing with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead supply chain program execution and coordinate with the PMO and cross-functional teams to ensure commitments are met.
  • Manage resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and issue resolution.
  • Brief executive management on cost and schedule status and issues.
  • Maintain Earned Value Management System responsibilities for the program planners and CAMs.
  • Conduct program reviews with suppliers, subcontractors and program office.

This role is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA and would be for the management of the Virginia propulsion program.Summary of Functions:Drives innovation and continuous improvement within the Supply Chain Management function;Develops the material strategy and leads the activities for Machinery Systems in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP);Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate baseline schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies;Acts as the main focal point for the entire supply chain and coordinates with the PMO and other cross-functional teams to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers;Leads supply chain program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution;Briefs the executive management on the status and issues affecting cost and schedule performance;Manages all Earned Value Management System requirements to include support to the individual program planners in their assigned program’s Supply Chain Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities.Conducts various program reviews with the suppliers, subcontractors and program office;Establishes milestone objectives and manages performance to committed schedules, contractual specifications and Global Supply Chain financial goals.#MPRBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with minimum 8 years of supply chain/business management/contracts/program management, operations and/or closely related experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of related experience supply chain/business management/contracts/program management, operations and/or closely related experience3+ years of prior experience leading a team/process/projectExperience with general procurement and subcontract execution workflowsExperience with general manufacturing and purchasing workflowsU.S citizen and ability to obtain US Government Secret clearanceMust be able to work on-site in Sunnyvale, CAPreferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering and/or technical disciplineExperience in supply chain management on a major program in defense and/or management in development or production projectsDirect experience interfacing with executive leadershipSAP experienceEarned Value Management experienceExperience with FAR/DFAR requirements•Experience in interfacing seamlessly with cross functional teams, suppliers, customers and major subcontract partsPrimary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
