Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (JP) is seeking a Senior Supply Chain professional in a pivotal role within our Global Supply Chain team. You will coordinate cross-functionally to ensure commitments are met, develop material strategy, and lead the Business Acquisition Process across programs to drive affordability and first-time quality.

The role demands a U.S. citizen with 8+ years (Bachelors) or 6+ years (Masters) in supply chain or related fields, plus 3+ years of team leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors with 8+ years or Masters with 6+ years in supply chain or related field.
  • 3+ years of team leadership or direct people management.
  • Experience in procurement, subcontract execution, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Experience with material receipt forecasting.
  • U.S. citizen able to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates cross-functionally to meet supply chain commitments and develop mitigation plans.
  • Develops material strategy and leads BAP activities across programs.
  • Acts as RA A focal point to the Operating Unit Leader in the GSCPM team.
  • Executes GSC strategies to improve affordability, efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Manages cost and schedule data to support Earned Value Management baseline.
  • Oversees proposal management to ensure timely, quality prime submissions.
  • Briefs executive management on cost/schedule status and issues.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented with strong communication.

Key functions for this role include:
  • Coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate integrated mitigation or opportunity plans are developed and executed to address any organizational or programmatic risks and opportunities
  • Develops material strategy and leads the activities in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP);
  • The Manager will serve as a focal point with Responsibility, Accountability, and Action (RAA) to the Operating Unit Leader within the GSCPM team
  • Responsible for developing and executing GSC strategies to support the build process on the program, with focus on achieving affordability, operational efficiency, safety and first-time quality targets
  • Responsible for the accurate integration and management of cost and schedule data in support of the Earned Value Management baseline
  • Proposal management to ensure the timely and quality submittal of Prime proposals
  • Management of material financials in support of Program financial goals
  • Briefs the executive management on the status and issues affecting cost and schedule performance
  • Self-motivated and proactive, organized and detail oriented
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, commitment to fostering an engaging environment for others and excellent communication skills
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 8 years or a Masters degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain, business management or other related field.
  • 3+ years of prior experience leading a team or direct people management
  • Experience with general procurement and subcontract execution workflows
  • Experience with general manufacturing and purchasing workflows
  • Experience with material receipt forecasting
  • U.S citizen and ability to obtain US Government Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering and/or technical discipline
  • Experience in supply chain management on a major program in defense and/or management in development or production projects
  • Direct experience interfacing with executive leadership
  • SAP experience
  • Earned Value Management experience
  • Experience executing and managing service agreements with major suppliers
  • Experience with proposal management
Primary Level Salary Range: $139,800.00 - $209,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Benefits and Compensation
  • Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
  • Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
  • Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
  • In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
