Job description

About Valar Atomics

At Valar Atomics, we're redefining what's possible in energy. Our mission is to make clean, high-temperature nuclear power scalable—unlocking abundant energy for industry, hydrogen, and next-generation manufacturing. We are a team of builders, engineers, and operators who believe nuclear energy should be fast to deploy, factory-made, and built for the real world. Our first pilot plant in Orangeville, Utah will demonstrate how advanced nuclear systems and fuel fabrication can power the future. Joining Valar Atomics means becoming part of a company where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level.

The Team

As part of the Manufacturing organization, Supply Chain secures the materials, equipment, and supplier partnerships required to support manufacturing and business operations. The team builds resilient supply chains while ensuring quality, cost, and delivery performance.

The Role
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve supply chain processes that enable Valar to scale efficiently through NPI, ramp-up, and growth phases.
  • Translate supply chain strategy and systems architecture into day-to-day operational processes, controls, and tools.
  • Work hands-on with the cross-functional teams to ensure processes are scalable, compliant, and adopted across the organization.
  • Own performance tracking and reporting for supply chain processes, driving cross-functional continuous improvement based on data.
  • Ensure supply chain documentation and processes are consistently audit-ready, leading preparation for internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, document, and implement supply chain processes (Source – Buy - Deliver) that scale with production volume and complexity.
  • Partner with the Director, SC & Governance, to execute the systems roadmap, configuring and optimizing Supply chain systems to support the new processes. Support cross-functional system implementations by translating business requirements into detailed process workflows.
  • Maintain and enforce Supply chain data governance standards at the operational level, ensuring day-to-day accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Implementing corrective solutions with the different functions. Own change management for process rollouts: training, documentation, SOPs and execution tracking.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain processes, driving continuous improvement based on performance data. Conduct regular performance reviews of supply chain processes and systems, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions to meet business targets.
  • Prepare and lead Supply chain readiness for internal and external audits, ensuring documentation, records, and processes are compliant and audit-ready at all times. Serve as a key point of contact during audits, coordinating responses, evidence gathering, and corrective action plans with cross-functional stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Master's degree a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain operations. Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success designing and rolling out scalable supply chain processes during periods of company growth.
  • Experience defining and managing supply chain performance metrics/KPIs to drive operational improvement.
  • Experience preparing for and supporting internal and external audits in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional process implementations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT teams.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Nuclear or aerospace/defense industry experience.
  • Start-up or fast-growth company experience.
  • CPIM or CPSM certification a plus.
