Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Manager Supply Chain 2 to lead a diverse team within the Global Supply Chain. This onsite role oversees parts tracking, stocking, kitting, issuing, shipping, and logistics across programs, with a focus on safety and cost efficiency.

You will drive process improvements, develop KPIs, collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, Engineering and external agencies to ensure regulatory compliance for aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in supply chain, PM, program or resource planning.
• Master’s Degree with 3+ years in the same areas.
• High School Diploma with 9+ years in those fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of exempt and non-exempt employees, responsible for tracking, receiving, stocking, kitting, issuing, shipping, preservation and issue of parts.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Warehousing, Traffic, Procurement, etc.
• Responsible for meeting direct budget targets, writing/updating work instructions, providing performance metrics, and recommending productivity improvements.
• As the Global Supply Chain focal point, develop and execute the strategy for Goods Movement and Logistics operations.
• Leads a team to support Production goals through tracking, receiving, stocking, kitting, issuing, shipping and cost efficiency.
• Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance via KPIs.
• Train and guide employees in keeping with Northrop Grumman Values.
• Collaborate with internal/external customers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Directs activities related to program transportation, storage, and material handling, including major deliveries.
• Lead, coordinate and collaborate with various programs on material receipt and transportation.

• Lead a team of exempt and non-exempt employees, who are responsible for the tracking, receiving, stocking, kitting, issuing, shipping, preservation and issue of parts supporting various production programs to include chemical management.


• Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Warehousing, Traffic, Procurement,etc.

• As the Global Supply Chain focal point, Develop and Execute the strategy for Global Supply Chain Goods Movement and Logistics operations in support of the program, affordability targets, schedule performance, and first-time quality.


• Leads a team that has the mission statement to support all Production goals and objectives through the accurate tracking, receiving, stocking, kitting, issuing parts, shipping, preservation, chemical management, and issue, with a strong focus on safety and cost efficiency.


• Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).


• Train and guide employees in keeping with all Northrop Grumman Values.


• Will collaborate with various programs on projects related to material receipt, storage, issue, and transportation.


• Lead, coordinate, and collaborate with internal and external customers, including local, state, federal, and international agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in support of Aeronautics Sector programs.


• Directs team activities associated with program transportation, storage, and material handling requirements, including major deliveries (classified and unclassified), and specialty movements as they relate to transportability.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, program management, business management or resource planning OR a Master’s Degree with at least 3 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, program management, business management or resource planning OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least 9 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, program management, business management or resource planning


• Must have MRP or ERP system experience


• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects


• At minimum, an active U.S. Government Secret level clearance is required


• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Management experience


• PAR Level access


• Experience in Aerospace Supply Chain


• Master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, or a related field


• Ability to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating a professional attitude


• Advanced Knowledge of SAP


• Significant experience conducting oral presentations to senior leadership

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
