Entergy is seeking a Mgr, Substation Design in Louisiana. This onsite role leads all Substation Design Engineering activities, including scoping, planning, estimating, drawing development, and compliance, with responsibility for cost, schedule, and quality.
The position requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, at least 10 years in the utility sector and leadership experience, plus PE registration in Entergy’s service area is preferred. Expect up to 25% travel across service territory.

Provides leadership, direction and oversight for all Substation Design Engineering activities, including preliminary project scoping and planning, project estimating, engineering and material specifications, drawing development, design reviews and approvals, contract management, workgroup direction and strategic planning, configuration management, standards development, and compliance.
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the utility industry with experience in various engineering disciplines.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Extensive knowledge of substation design practices, standards, procedures and processes; Thorough understanding of planning, project management, operations and/or construction. Experience in managing/executing capital and/or O&M projects. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multi-projects simultaneously. Capable of moving frequently between multiple tasks, while prioritizing conflicting priorities. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with superiors, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the Company. Sound analytical, problem solving and documentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills; team player. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), budgets, financial procedures, and property accounting.
Professional Engineer registration in at least 1 state in Entergy service area desired.
