The role requires expert Excel modeling, strong project finance knowledge, and the ability to translate operational inputs into financial outcomes.
Founded in 2023, Takanock, LLC tackles the data center industry's core challenge of developing shovel-ready data center sites by leveraging decades of experience in site selection, power generation, energy markets, and infrastructure. The role will be based in Fulton, MD (Hybrid).
The Manager, Strategic Finance will play a critical role in evaluating, modeling, and supporting investment and operational decisions across Takanock's growing energy infrastructure portfolio. This individual will own the development and management of financial models, support recurring modeling requests from across the business, and provide analytical insights that guide project execution, capital allocation, and strategic growth.
This role will serve as a key partner across Finance, Development, Commercial, Engineering, and Operations teams to evaluate the economics of powering hyperscale data centers. The ideal candidate combines exceptional Excel modeling skills with strong project finance knowledge and the ability to bridge the gap between finance and operations, analyzing both the financial and operational drivers of large-scale data center and power generation projects. Candidates coming from project finance, infrastructure investing, energy companies, utilities, investment banking, data center infrastructure, or engineering-driven organizations will be especially successful in this role.
The base salary range for this position is $125,000–$160,000 per year, plus annual bonus and additional incentives.
