Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide a team of statistical programmers in research and development of new pharmaceutical products.
  • Lead programming efforts for a compound, indication, or therapeutic area in early and/or late-stage development, interfacing with Statistics, Data Sciences, Medical Writing, Regulatory Publishing, and Clinical Operations.
  • Develop and oversee the creation of Statistical Analysis System (SAS) programs for Analysis Data Model (ADaM) data sets following Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) standards.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Must have a BS in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, with 5 years of statistical programming experience. Specifically, experience should include: (i) 5 years utilizing SAS programming concepts related to drug development and regulatory filings; (ii) 5 years applying CDISC standards, including ADaM and SDTM; (iii) 5 years developing SAS programs for ADaM data sets and for Tables, Listings, and Figures; (iv) 3 years working in a matrixed organization across stakeholders and functions; (v) 2 years developing standard SAS macros; (vi) 1 year providing oversight and mentoring to statistical programmers and analysts. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field with 2 years of relevant experience is acceptable, with corresponding experience in (i) through (iii), (iv) & (v), and 6 months in (vi).

Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education and work experience will be accepted.

This position allows for 100% telecommuting.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $160,000 - $197,000 per year
