Job Description

Purpose

The Manager of Statistical Programming is a strategic role responsible for guiding a team of Statistical Programmers in the research and development of new pharmaceutical products. This role leads the statistical programming activities for a specific compound, indication, or therapeutic area in early development and requires effective collaboration with Statistics, Data Sciences, Medical Writing, Regulatory Publishing, and Clinical Operations.

Responsibilities

1. Lead statistical programming activities for a specific compound, indication, or therapeutic area in early development.
2. Manage a team of statistical programmers and oversee resource planning.
3. Ensure timely delivery of quality work and adherence to processes.
4. Develop and oversee SAS programs for creating ADaM data sets following CDISC standards.
5. Develop and oversee SAS programs for Tables, Listings, and Figures.
6. Maintain consistency of ADaM data sets across studies and integrated data.
7. Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions, including reviewer guides and data definition documents.
8. Lead the development of standard SAS Macros and contribute to SOP development.
9. Mentor assigned statistical programmers, analysts, and senior analysts.

Qualifications

This is a remote opportunity available anywhere in the US.

• MS in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR BS with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading a team of statistical programmers.
• Deep understanding of SAS programming related to drug development.
• Knowledge of CDISC Standards.
• Understanding of the drug development process and regulatory filings.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to represent the Statistical Programming Organization effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Accurate effort estimation for programming activities.
