This ground-breaking new internet layer opens up previously unimaginable possibilities for payments, commerce and markets that can help raise global economic prosperity and enhance inclusion. Our infrastructure – including USDC, a blockchain-based dollar – helps businesses, institutions and developers harness these breakthroughs and capitalize on this major turning point in the evolution of money and technology.

We have built a flexible and diverse work environment where new ideas are encouraged and everyone is a stakeholder.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

As the Manager of Stablecoins Operations, you will lead critical financial close and reconciliation processes to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of Circle’s stablecoin activities. Your role will focus on delivering operational excellence and data integrity, while collaborating cross-functionally to enable automation and ensure robust accounting for new and existing stablecoin products.

What You’ll Work On

  • Lead month-end close processes for stablecoin accounting, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Oversee preparation and review of daily and monthly stablecoin reconciliations and attestations.
  • Design and implement scalable SOPs, ensuring alignment with SOX internal control requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to operationalize accounting for new stablecoin products and services.
  • Implement improved reconciliation workflows, leveraging automation and new system capabilities.
  • Manage and mentor a direct report, providing regular coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc initiatives and continuous improvement projects related to accounting / stablecoin operations.

Core Requirements

What you’ll bring to Circle:

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in fintech, crypto, or high-growth environments.
  • Proven experience executing detailed, data-intensive reconciliations with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead SOX-compliant month-end close processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with modern collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, GSuite, MacOS, Oracle).

Preferred Requirements

  • 1+ years managing or mentoring team members in a dynamic environment.
  • CPA certification and/or Big 4 public accounting experience.
  • Experience with stablecoin and/or crypto accounting
