We are looking for a highly motivated Manager of Solutions Architecture to join our team.

You will lead a team of trusted Solutions Architects who work shoulder to shoulder with our customers and advise them on how to best achieve performance at scale. The role requires deep technical expertise, a strong sense of technical evangelism, and a relentless commitment to long-term customer outcomes. You and your team will quickly understand technical architectures, research, build, and deliver proof of concept solutions to pattern, guide, and shape the customer journey. You should be a passionate technology leader who can dive deep, speaking to builder patterns and practices with fluency while developing these capabilities in your team.

As a Manager, Solutions Architecture, you will influence the future of Amazon Supply Chain Services by leading a team that collaborates at the intersection of customers, partners, product, and engineering. You will partner with customers, Sales teams, and several other internal teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of our services.

This role involves up to 25% travel, including customer site visits, industry conferences, and team meetings at various locations.

Key job responsibilities

• Customer Advisor: Cultivate relationships with customer technical and business leaders, representing your team in engagements and handling escalations while mapping business requirements to Amazon technology solutions.
• Organizational Leadership: Lead with limited guidance by simplifying technical requirements, setting priorities, and influencing strategy through collaboration with senior leaders across teams and organizations.
• People Management: Define and execute hiring strategies for your team while identifying and developing future leaders, building a culture of inclusion, diversity, and equity.
• Operational Management: Define team goals, maintain inspection cadences, and create mechanisms to accelerate progress while ensuring compliance with security policies and training needs.

• Champion customer obsession through excellent communication and solution design practices.
• Apply and share Commerce and Supply Chain solution experience to solve complex business challenges.

• Build a team that can create repeatable artifacts and assess deliverables as force multipliers.
• Drive feedback loops and influence product development based on customer needs and field insights.

MCF represents the core fulfillment capability of Buy with Prime (BwP).

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise IT application work that includes at least 2 years of hands-on software development or DevOps engineering experience
• 2+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. experience
• 8+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer facing roles
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $152,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
