Job description

Manage a team of engineers who deploy and support MES 300works Full-Auto, MES FACTORYworks Maintenance Management solutions at Applied Materials customer sites.

Manage triaging and troubleshooting of issues across the CIM (e.g., MES, Equipment Automation, CMMS, process control systems, message bus).

Work with product engineering’s QA team on continuous improvement activities.

Provide MES production support, MES product delivery support, and CIM delivery project support.

Develop new solutions and products with the product engineering team to address market demands.

Coordinate with customers' internal teams to deploy and optimize control solutions to achieve factory KPIs.

Collaborate with systems administration and IT teams on developing and deploying control solutions.

Present technical information to customers, including technical contributors and managers.

Create and implement software training and demonstrations.

Perform software installations.

Contribute to and manage the knowledge base.

Respond to customer requests for proposals (RFP).

Develop and deliver statements of work (SOW).

Improve operations through continuous improvement standards such as 8D, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5-Whys.

Manage employees (direct or matrixed reports); contribute to effective performance management, employee development, and retention.

Interface with defined customers on product roadmap and strategy, providing feedback into the product line roadmap based on customer HVP and new technology insights.

Lead the application of principles, theories, and concepts, determining the best course of action and resolving complex operational problems.

Establish product strategy, identify functional linkages across the organization, and develop processes and roadmaps for the BU/technology group, including hiring, training, and staffing plans.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, solar, or chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience with factory automation applications and process control.
  • Experience with MES working with factory automation and business systems.
  • Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Expertise in applying MES products or similar for production control.
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL for data collection and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of data analysis platforms such as Tableau, JMP, or MATLAB.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to senior management and manage diverse stakeholder requirements.

Functional Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of concepts, theories, and principles in own job family and basic knowledge of related families.
  • Familiarity with enterprise automation software on Windows or Unix platforms with Oracle databases.

  • Understanding of the industry and contribution of own area to organizational objectives.

Leadership:

  • Manage a homogeneous team, adapt plans and priorities to operational challenges.

  • Identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational issues.
