Senior Recruiter @LinkedIn | Let's shape the future together!

Company Description
LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network, built to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce. Our products help people make powerful connections, discover exciting opportunities, build necessary skills, and gain valuable insights every day. We’re also committed to providing transformational opportunities for our own employees by investing in their growth. We aspire to create a culture that’s built on trust, care, inclusion, and fun – where everyone can succeed.

The Product Application Infrastructure (PAI) team’s mission is to build reliable, efficient, and intuitive world class tools and infrastructure that amplify productivity of the product engineers, product managers, and product designers that create our suite of products. We are rebuilding our technical stack to support rapid iteration, high quality, and deeply personalized experiences. At the core of this vision for personalization is localization—not as an afterthought, but as a product-defining capability.

We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead our internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) platform team. In this role, you won’t just build scalable i18n infrastructure and l10n pipelines—you’ll lead efforts to leverage large language models (LLMs) that generate culturally resonant, context-aware translations for our global members and customers. This is an opportunity to shape how AI, infrastructure, and design come together to create inclusive and globally relevant experiences for millions.

The ideal candidate will be excited for the challenge to transform and think critically on many computer science disciplines including user and developer experience, user-centric applications, business logic, scaling performance, and 24x7 reliability. They will also play a critical role in helping their team build, maintain, monitor, and deploy our systems.

Join us to transform the way the world works.

You will be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship.
You will work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.
You will manage teams to scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, review code, and deliver with speediness and quality.
You will develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7.
You will produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration.

Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
1+ year(s) of management experience or 1+ year(s) of staff level engineering experience with management training
5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and large-scale software engineering

Understanding of common performance patterns and anti-patterns in distributed systems
Successful track record of managing small teams of engineers to deliver multiple projects on time and with quality
