Snap Inc. is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a Core Infrastructure team within Platform Engineering. The role is hands-on, driving strategy, roadmap, and delivery for backend and full-stack systems powering Snap's apps and services.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in software development, 1+ year of people management, and strong experience with distributed systems and Kubernetes. Snap emphasizes collaboration across product, operations, data science, and engineering.

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent practical work experience.
• 8+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience or a Master’s degree with 7+ years, or a PhD with 3+ years of post-grad experience.
• 1+ years of experience managing a team of engineers.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure technologies.

The team builds and owns platform systems to manage Compute infrastructure for all Snap backends. Our systems are widely adopted and power critical Snap verticals like Ads, Content Feed, Messaging, Story Posting, Media Delivery, Memories, and ML Platform. at the internet scale. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.
