Job summary

DP World is seeking a high-impact Shift Manager to lead critical data center logistics and operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will oversee shift activities, drive performance, and develop teams to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency.

As a Shift Manager, you will coordinate scheduling, manage workforce needs, and implement contingency plans to support business continuity and meet performance objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Progressive experience performing professional level operational and plant management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of a logistics operation to maximize scheduling and delivery of commodities to the customer.
• Interface with customer to coordinate scheduling and maximize schedule adherence.
• Enact contingency plans as needed; escalation and direct activities during system problems, disasters, etc.
• Review ongoing performance results to targets; take corrective measures with authorization.
• Provide effective leadership to the Warehouse Managers and/or team, enforcing company standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

This role is ideal for a proven operations leader who thrives on driving performance, developing teams, and creating operational excellence through strategic planning, problem-solving, and hands-on leadership.

As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless operational flow across your shift while balancing customer expectations, workforce management, productivity targets, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will serve as the primary liaison between the customer and operations teams, providing leadership and direction that drives service excellence, operational efficiency, and employee engagement.

The Shift Manager plays a critical leadership role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of data center supply chain operations. Through effective leadership, workforce planning, and operational oversight, this individual will ensure the right resources, processes, and contingency plans are in place to support business continuity and achieve performance objectives.

About the Role

How you will contribute

• Manage the daily activities of a logistics operation to maximize scheduling and delivery of commodities to the customer.
• Interface with customer to ensure smooth -coordination of scheduling and maximization of schedule adherence; provides input on local conditions, identifies needs and receives direction on real-time staffing increases or decreases.
• Enact contingency plans as needed; escalation and direct activities during system problems, disasters, etc.; identify potential problems, troubleshoot, escape issues to local and senior management, and participate in post-mortem analysis of problems providing input for future process improvements.
• Review ongoing performance results to targets. Take corrective measures with authorization, accelerate as needed
• Responsible for providing effective leadership to the Warehouse Managers and/or team, enforcing company standards, act as a role model.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Progressive experience performing professional level operational and plant management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write documentsusing original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management and customer.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
