THE ROLE

As the Senior Business Planning Manager CPU, your primary mission will be to develop strategies and plans to attain inventory & revenue goals, market share and product gross margin. You will drive ownership and accountability for the process and effectively communicate these plans to executive management and peer organizations (finance, supply chain, sales). You will be reporting to the business leader for AMD’s Server business planning team.

THE PERSON

The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills, including CPU product knowledge, server architecture awareness, strong marketing and presentation skills, solid understanding of customers’ business and decision makers, ability to craft resonating customer value propositions, and strong team leadership skills. Most importantly, you are the business leader for your account, contributing to strategy, setting direction, and achieving success in all facets. You must be self-driven, and capable of operating autonomously.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Proven Leadership and management skills
• Demonstrated achievement in a fast-paced business planning or strategy role - high tech experience preferred
• Expertise in the computing industry
• Exceptional time-management skills - ability to handle multiple ongoing projects/initiatives
• Ability to quickly create effective strategies with imperfect or insufficient datasets
• Strong organizational skills - Ability to work across a large organization and get things done
• Executive-level presentation and communication skills - ability to speak with confidence

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

• BS and/or MS degree in Business Management, Finance, or Engineering from a top-tier university
• MBA is a strong plus.
