Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a skilled software engineer to shape innovative cloud-native solutions. You will work with outstanding digital talent to design, build and deliver serverless architectures on AWS, with a focus on TypeScript, Node.js and Kubernetes. You will lead engineering teams within agile projects and advance CI/CD practices.

Location options include London, Bristol or Belfast with hybrid working. A passion for learning and cross-functional collaboration is essential to drive impactful

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Node.js with TypeScript.
• Experience designing and developing AWS serverless solutions (EventBridge, SQS, Lambda, Fargate).
• Experience with modern design patterns (serverless, event-driven).
• Hands-on with CI/CD processes and tooling (GitHub preferred).
• Experience leading and coaching engineers within agile projects.

• You have advanced knowledge of Node.js with TypeScript and apply this to build composable applications.
• You are experienced designing and developing AWS serverless solutions using EventBridge, SQS, Lambda and Fargate, meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
• You have demonstrable experience building solutions using modern design patterns and architectures (e.g. serverless, event-driven).
• You have hands on experience of CI/CD processes and tooling (ideally on Github) and how these should be implemented to ensure quality and security.
• You are experienced leading and coaching engineers within agile projects to accelerate incremental delivery.
• You are AWS Associate, Professional or Specialty certified.
• You have experience developing and delivering solutions running in container environments (e.g. Kubernetes)

• You have experience using AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to optimise development workflows and enable AI-orchestrated automated software delivery.
