An established industry player is seeking a Manager of Security Services to lead operational functions that ensure the safety of all persons and property within the medical center. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related discipline - Preferred.
Experience:
5 years or more of experience in law enforcement, public safety, military, or healthcare security or other related field -required
3 years or more of management in a public safety or healthcare setting or other related field - required
Certifications/Licensures:
Driver License - Department of Motor Vehicles - Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) - required within 12 months of hire.
Physical Security Professional (PSP) are acknowledged as having value and preferred.
IAHSS Member - IAHSS International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety - Required
Skills:
Prior demonstrated successful supervisory experience in public safety or healthcare or other related field.
Demonstrate behavior consistent with the mission and values of JMH and its strategic plan, goals and key performance indicators.
Strong understanding of security systems and technologies, including video surveillance, access control, and other physical security systems.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building trust and collaboration across departments.
Knowledge of TJC, HICS, Title 22, Cal/OSHA, Cal/DCA BSIS - Required.
Knowledge, training, and/or experience in safety, security, civil disturbance, law enforcement and criminal and legal code procedures and planning, Experience in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. - Required
Experience in disaster planning and response training - Required.
Knowledge of other regulatory agencies and guidelines related to safety and security
Understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies, and policies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to give presentations.
Strong ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
Demonstrated ability to work under stress in emergencies, and the flexibility to handle simultaneous high pressure demands.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks so work is completed in an accurate, timely manner.
Proven ability to incorporate disparate facts and observations into one overall plan, understand it, teach it, and share it.
Understanding and ability in weapons detection, K9 programs and armed personnel within the health system.
High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and consistently display an executive level of judgment and maturity.
Ability to interact with all stakeholders and build strong relationships.

Pay Range:
$138,064.00 - $207,096.00Salary
