Job summary

KPMG LLP in Dallas, TX is seeking a Manager to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. You will provide client service to multi-state companies on property tax compliance and related processes.

You will evaluate information on property tax returns, assist with bill payments using PTMS, review notices for discrepancies, and build client relationships through proactive tax planning. This role requires five years of property tax experience, a bachelor's degree, and professional credentials

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of recent personal property tax compliance experience.
• Experience preparing property tax returns, bill payments, and valuation notices using PTMS.
• Strong knowledge of state and local property tax concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent client service to multi-state companies with property tax compliance
• Evaluate information presented on property tax returns before, during, and after preparation
• Assist in property tax bill payment and return preparation using Property Tax Management Software (PTMS)
• Review assessment notices to identify any discrepancies

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of recent experience in personal property tax compliance preparing property tax returns, bill payments, and valuation notices using PTMS
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
• Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, CMI or MTX, in addition to others on KPMG’s approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
• Ability to develop business and foster client relationships
