What you’ll do as a Safety Manager

  • You will, coordinate and facilitate in the following functions: Issue safety equipment, conduct safety training programs, conduct onsite inspections of premises or equipment, investigate accidents or injuries
  • You will monitor and enforce Health & Safety/OSHA and DOT Compliance while interfacing with employees
  • You will participate in and/or facilitate all program activities, including but not limited to regular conference calls, workshops, compliance audits, reporting, etc.
  • You will conduct periodic audits to measure compliance and overall program effectiveness
  • You will evaluate safety performance of employees and subcontractors; document violations
  • You will review all inspection reports, establish and enforce safety guidelines and procedures
  • You will review injury/illness and non-injury incident investigation reports. Provide follow-up as necessary.
  • You will be engaged with other duties as assigned by management



What you’ll need

  • You will need to have a thorough knowledge of DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations
  • You are authorized to work in the United States
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You will need to be have strong documentation skills and proven analytical and problem solving abilities in a changing environment
  • You will need experience providing safety training, and implementing safety initiatives.
  • You must have demonstrated experience presenting training material and leading project groups, including employees of all levels, vendors and customers.
  • You must have the ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work self-directed with a sense of urgency
  • You will need strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills
  • You must be proficient with PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • We prefer you have OSHA 10 or 30 hour Cert's
  • You must have a valid Driver’s License
