Job summary

Terra-Gen is seeking a Manager to join its Corporate Risk Management department in New York. This role partners with multiple teams to administer, monitor, and enhance our risk management programs across wind, solar, and storage projects.

Reporting to the Director of Risk Management, you will oversee insurance renewals, liability claims, contract reviews, and construction financing while staying current on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; risk management and/or insurance designations preferred.
• 3 years’ minimum experience in related risk management role required; 3-5 years preferred.
• 7–10 years of underwriting or broker service experience and strong proficiency in liability lines can be considered equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Renewals: manage collection of underwriting information and renewal materials.
• Liability Claims Management: assist with administration of claims across GL, auto, and workers’ comp.
• Certificates of Insurance: act as central point for requests and issuance.
• Contract Reviews: support Legal and Procurement with insurance provisions.
• Construction Financing: support financing activities.
• Develop training materials for internal managers.
• Perform other related duties and special projects.
• Stay current on risk management, insurance, and industry trends.

Position Summary

Terra-Gen is seeking a Manager to join its Corporate Risk Management department. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading independent power producers in the United States as Terra‑Gen continues to expand its domestic portfolio of wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects. The Manager will report to the Director, Risk Management, and partner with departments across the organization to administer, monitor, and enhance existing risk management programs for comprehensiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Renewals: Manage the collection of underwriting information; review and analyze submission materials; and provide recommendations on the appropriate treatment of exposures. Ensure post‑renewal documentation—including binders, policies, endorsements, and policy‑posting materials— is collected, reviewed for accuracy, and distributed as needed.
• Liability Claims Management: Assist with the administration of claims under all policies, with primary responsibility for general liability, auto, and workers’ compensation claims. Coordinate with Legal, Human Resources, and adjusters throughout the claims process.
• Serve as the central point of contact for requests and issuance of Certificates of Insurance from internal and external stakeholders. Maintain and manage certificate issuance to counterparties following each annual renewal.
• Contract Reviews: Support Legal and Procurement by reviewing insurance requirements and advising on appropriate insurance provisions for various counterparties.
• Construction Financing: Support financing activities.
• Collaborate on the development of training materials for presentation to internal managers.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Stay current on risk management, insurance, and relevant industry trends.

The posted compensation is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This salary range may also be modified in the future, depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
